Welcome to the web home of Madison Township. It is our intent to provide our citizens and visitors with an informational site that is a vital communications link to the officials and services of your township government.

Madison Township is one of the eighteen townships of Richland County, or one of 1,308 Townships in Ohio.  Townships are a political subdivision of the state.  The officials that administer the townships are made up of three trustees and a fiscal officer, each elected to a four-year term. These elected officials fill their roles on a part-time basis.  Madison Township is a part of the Mansfield Metropolitan Statistical Area. The 2000 census found 14,680 people in the township.
