Madison Township is one of the eighteen townships of Richland County, or one of 1,308 Townships in Ohio. Townships are a political subdivision of the state. The officials that administer the townships are made up of three trustees and a fiscal officer, each elected to a four-year term. These elected officials fill their roles on a part-time basis. Madison Township is a part of the Mansfield Metropolitan Statistical Area. The 2010 census found 11,168 (a 23.9% decline since 2000) people living in the township. Madison Township Trustees are putting
a permanent 2 mill Road Levy on the ballot this March in the primary. The levy would
